Dear New York Times, when will you start to care about taxonomic accuracy?

Many of the inaccuracies in how scientific names of organisms are formatted and presented that appear in publications, media, and in web content are perpetuated by The New York Times, a publication that prides itself on correcting any factual error, however small. But for taxonomic errors, they do not. There are exceptions of course, such as Carl Zimmer's writing, but overall a general taxonomic fact checking is lacking, especially outside the Science section.
