For the first time, researchers have shown that dogs can perceive differences between human languages. As detailed in a new study published on Thursday in the peer-reviewed journal NeuroImage, dog brains can detect and distinguish the difference between familiar and unfamiliar speech patterns, and, crucially, between languages.
